Nice place to stay in Taupo, can’t complain about anything. It is near the airport...

Lovely big room and living quarters. Would ideally suit a couple or family who need to have their own place, while on holiday.
The location of this property is not signposted from the city, and when you get into the estate, there are no markings to dictate where you are headed. If you are not prepared for a home in a residential area, you will miss it. There needs to be better lighting around the property. I got there after dark and as no one was present, to get access to my suite, I had to walk down the side of the home over grass to get to the door. Not a big issue, but it could be if you are not prepared.

Comfortable layout. Informative owner. Well-organized. Generous-sized TV. Walk-in closet. Plethora of brochures. Helpful check-in. Stylish and modern furniture.
Nothing, all was good.

We were only there for one night so just passing through. Extremely good value and well presented.
Directions on the web site could be better or maybe I needed to look harder. Given the kitchen facilities displayed, I did expect at least a 2 ring/burner cook-top. Would be a big plus especially for a longer stay.

Stay was good, but sadly it was not for long.
Confirmation about my room should have been done via phone as well.

Nothing at all.

We loved the modern, spacious and clean feel of the place. Truly a home away from home. While the Junior Suite didn't have cooking facilities, there is an option with a full kitchen and amazing views. Totally recommend the Lago Bistro Restaurant for a very special dinner. Quality meal. Stayed at a French Petit Hotel following night, and it was nearly three times the cost, Falls Chateau beat it hands down. If it weren't for the distance to travel back from Havelock North, we would have come back to Wairakei to sleep a second night, and third and fourth. Value for money plus! I highly recommend Falls Chateau and can't wait for our next break away.
The bed was too firm and I suspect the owners might be aware of that. They have tried to compensate for that with a thick underlay, but I'm the classic princess and the pea case. If there was anything to criticise, and only because I've been asked, is I would recommend laying stepping stones and night lights across the lawn to our downstairs rear facing room. Next time, we will reserve the upstairs, river facing, beautifully furnished room.

Plenty of room, would be great for families or several couples staying together.
Arrived at book in time of 2pm to find a note on the door asking us to come back in 30mins. Bathroom was not very clean and the bed was hard and not very comfortable- not up to 5 star standard as advertised

This place is perfectly located near everything we wanted to do, and even the airport was not too far, making it an excellent base for a city break.

Owner spoke of not being able to have visitors, really emphasised that point, private road & not bringing the party back to accommodation (which we were not going to do anyway)

We got upgraded to a huge apartment, great value and an awesome place to stay.
Just some of the rules that were posted about the house about what not to do and how strict they are with the check out time.
